Adult Occupational Therapy

Beth Ingram’s adult occupational therapy is delivered by licensed occupational therapists and occupational therapist assistants to individuals to help develop, restore and maintain the performance of daily living activities such as bathing, dressing and feeding.  Our occupational therapy goals are to improve strength, endurance and coordination and to help our patients achieve maximum independence in self care, home and community activities.

Some of the skills that occupational therapy can improve are:
  • Motor control
  • Coordination
  • Decision making
  • Problem solving
  • Visual perception
  • Safety
Occupational therapy will be conducted based on the frequency determined by your occupational therapist during your evaluation. Weekly adult occupational therapy sessions are designed around an individualized plan of care to return you to your prior level of function as soon as possible. Therapy will address your individualized needs. Therapy can be conducted in one of our Florida occupational therapy clinics, or in your home (determination of therapy location maybe made based on your insurance and availability in therapist’s schedule). Detailed home exercise programs are available to incorporate therapy techniques into the home and community settings.
